Ockham Works builds software that does the admin of running a food factory, so the people who make the food can get on with making it.
Write to usWhat we are automating first
| Job | What the software does |
|---|---|
| Dispatch paperwork | The invoice, delivery note, collection note, certificate of conformance and packing list, produced together from one order. |
| Batch tracking | Each batch followed from production to dispatch, so the record exists without anyone writing it up afterwards. |
| Invoicing | Invoices raised from the order itself, not retyped from it. |
| Cash flow | What is owed, what is due and when, kept current as orders and invoices move. |
Built inside a working factory
We build Ockham Works at John Hill Foods, our own caramel and toffee factory in Oxfordshire. Each job is run on real orders, alongside the people who used to do it by hand, before we call it finished.
Once it runs our own factory reliably, we will offer it to other food producers, and then to businesses beyond food.
Why Ockham
William of Ockham’s razor says not to multiply things beyond necessity. Most factory admin is the same facts written out again on a different form. We keep the facts and cut the rewriting.
